Job Title: Interim Director Market Access
Our Central London Biopharma client, an organisation focused on curing Liver Disease have recruited an Interim Market Access Director to support them through commercialisation, managing all Market Access Pricing and Reimbursement activities and working strategically and operationally in equal measures. Our client has headquarters in the US, but the UK arm is central to their operations. An incredibly exciting and pivotal time for the organisation who are hiring best-in-class individuals to work with them.
The PiR Interim, with a deep understanding of the Biopharma arena in Orphan Drugs and speciality therapies, They will ensure the Phase 2 & 3 trials design meets payors requirements, developing core value dossier and global health economic models, working closely with clinical development, commercial and regional commercial teams to ensure it meets local country requirements and to ensure consistency of message.
The Interim will develop global communication and publication plan for payors aligned to commercial strategy and ensure consistency of implementation pre and post marketing authorisation.
As the organisation work and move towards commercialisation, they reached out to PiR to appoint a Senior Commercial Leader in Market Access who was able to develop their global market access strategy, to advise and make recommendations to the Executive Team.
This is a unique opportunity to build the organisation from the beginning and to play a key role, as part of the broader global commercial team. Advising executive management on key access policies and reimbursement practices affecting corporate objectives, quantifying risks and opportunities and making recommendations for action.
This Interim has made such an impact they have now been extended for a further 9 months.
Our client needed an extremely experienced Market Access individual with an unusual blend of HEOR skills, with a view that this individual would be promoted into an Interim Head of Market Access role in due course. 3 candidate’s CVs were presented, the client chose to interview one option, who went through a 3-stage interview process, and was offered the role. The candidate has had one extension and is now working at a strategic level, within the organisation until the end of 2018.
